Today we went to the lilac festival. It was really fun! We walked through forest, fields, and paths. We went into the garden surrounded by battlemented walls that looked like a castle that was called the rock garden. We saw the reservoir and next to it was a very fat groundhog. We saw only three blooming Rhododendrons, but we are going back to Highland park in a week or two to see them budding. We got cotton candy and funnel cake, which we almost never do at festivals, so it was special. We got pretty thirsty, so I suggest that if you all ever go, bring something to drink! We took or family photo for Christmas, and saw my favorite part, the tulips. They're so pretty! I was in a big picture taking mood, so I actually took this picture of a white lilac. So it's a bona-fide lilac from the bona-fide park.

I had a ton of fun too. I love festivals. I have to start liking them if I have kids we will go.
I liked that Garden/castle a lot, I'm glad it was availible to the public.
I hope to go today with our family, or possible thursday with friends.
that was a lot of fun! we went there 2 this year! we went early this week on tuesday night!
